At the core of every investment we make
are our 3 Humble Principles:

1 - Good for You

Whatever we invest in is "Good for You"

At Humble, we believe that most people want to do "the right thing".  But not everyone wants to go out of their way to do it.

We invest in companies that make products and provide services that cover real, 21st century human needs, and which "make the Right thing to do, the Easy thing to do".

Excellent
quality

Affordable
price

Contribute to
something Good

"Good for you" means...

1.

The product or service is indulgent, of excellent quality, priced at a great value-for-money level.

2.

By buying this product or service, the consumer will not only be buying something that he/she needs, but he/she will also become part of something greater, which will “make the world a better place”, for him/her too.

3.

Humble invests in companies that allow people to fulfil their desire to “do the right thing” as often as possible, by making it easy to do so.

4.

Our investments will deliver a superior Personal Benefit to customers (e.g. “this is delicious and nutritious!”, or “this t-shirt is as good today as it was 2 years ago when I first bought it, and still fits great!”), while at the same time giving them the opportunity to easily do some broader good.

2 - Good for People

Whatever we invest in is "Good for People".

We invest in companies that place People at the core of their philosophy and go beyond

“fair trade”.

We believe in Living Wages. And we believe that all the People that make up a Company should share in its Wealth Creation.

A Living Wage
and Healthcare for All

Education at Work

Active role
in local communities

"Good for People" means...

1.

Employees earn a Living Wage, depending on where they are located, i.e. a salary and benefits that allow them to live a fruitful, fulfilling life based on the cost of living in the place where they are based.

2.

Employees and customers should receive "education" on important matters, such as nutrition and where their food comes from, the implications of food on their lives, and on environmental issues, enriching their lives with valuable knowledge.

3.

A company should play an active role in the local community within which it operates, by hiring locally, giving to local charities, and in other ways, for example by funding scholarships for local high school students to attend college.

4.

We aim to be able to say that, if, one day, all the people on the planet were employed by companies that we invest in, they would all live happier, more fruitful, balanced, enlightened lives.

3 - Good for the Planet

Whatever we invest in is "Good for the Planet".

Our investments will yield measurable results that are

“Good for the Planet”.

We believe that companies should start to place the reversal of the damage done to the planet thus far, at the core of what they do.

No exploitation
of animals

Measuring Environmental
Impact

Offseting Environmental
Impact by 110%

"Good for the Planet" means...

1.

It's time that humans start to act with true superiority towards all other species on the planet; true superiority can only be displayed through true kindness. Our investments will never include the exploitation of any animal in any way.

2.

We will invest in companies that go beyond not exploiting animals, and will be directly involved in funding animal welfare projects, as “good for animals” cannot simply mean “we don’t harm them”.

3.

In companies where we have a majority shareholding, we will invest in systems (such as LCA studies) that accurately measure the impact of all of the company's operations on the environment.

4.

We will invest in companies that seek to continuously improve the environmental footrint of their goods and services. Wherever we have the majority shareholding, and after measuring the environmental impact, we will work with the proper, credible third party entities to not only offset these impacts, but to over-offset them by at least 10%, thus creating a net positive environmental footprint on the planet for all our majority investments.
